with a question

about resilience, beauty, and connection.

Greetings! I’m Jami, a passionate advocate for complete well-being, drawn to holistic and integrative health care choices, and the transformative power of gardens and gardening. Gardens, in all their forms, have captured my heart – from the structured elegance of France’s Versailles Potagers and sculpted orchards to the intricate beauty of native edible forest gardens I create at home. Such gardens are a manifestation of science and art, of planning and embracing uncertainty, of agroecology.

A Journey Through Gardens and Culture

My fascination with gardens spans historical and cultural boundaries. I’ve delved into the knowledge and design of gardens created by diverse cultures, continuously inspired by their ability to nourish both the body and spirit. The roots of this passion trace back to my World War II era grandparents, cultivating and preserving food by canning and stored in the cellar. This connection to the earth, witnessed during tornado hideouts or errands for jars of pears, applesauce, or green beans, sparked a lifelong curiosity.

Gardening and Native Foodways

Over the years, my exploration extended to the study of gardening and native foodways, intertwining the relationships between food, environment, art, design, and spirituality. My journey began in the arts, which I continue through illustration and photography, and encompasses the cultivation of annual and perennial food plants, small livestock, Permaculture, and the history and design of potagers or kitchen gardens. Forest gardens, with their harmonious ecosystems, have also become a focal point of my expertise.

A Bridge Between Health and Nature

In a course office hours discussion with a respected doctor, I shared my research on growing specific plants with elevated nutritional values, such as the carotenoid tetra-cis-lycopene, which is an antioxidant. With this endeavor I aimed to bridge the gap between human health and planetary health. I earned a commendation from this doctor. He recognized the value of my activities and requested my research, a project I continue to diligently work on.

Wellbeing and Resilience

Recognizing the importance of sleep in regulating insulin levels and preventing Alzheimer’s disease has become a cornerstone of my holistic approach to wellbeing. Additionally, my quest for integrated harmony of body and mind involves empowering individuals to navigate their unique paths, fostering resilience through personalized solutions beginning with looking at sleep hygiene and personal habits.

Rezenience Plants and Tangerine Tomatoes

You’ll find a glimpse of this research in the Rezenience Plants listings, particularly with the remarkable Tangerine type tomatoes for the easy ability of tetra-cis-lycopene to be absorbed. This makes available the most complete benefit to fight and prevent specific cancers, such as prostate and ovarian. By using organic growing methods and paying attention to soil health, this also provides benefits to the earth, directly blending the wisdom and care of nature with our health.

Join me on a journey where health, gardening, creative exploration, and resilience converge. Together, we’ll explore the profound connections between health of humans, and the habits’, and habitat’s we occupy. I’m here to guide you through this vibrant and transformative experience.
